Department of Folklore The main objective of the Department is to collect, classify and archiving the vanishing Folk Arts, Folk artefacts besides documenting the folk customs, beliefs and practices. A study in depth of the origin and evolution of folklore, folk arts besides evaluating the impact of the modern life. Academic programmes leading to P.G, M.Phil and Ph.D are in progress for the past three years.
