Encyclopaedias are the essential landmarks of progressive languages of the world. This centre, therefore embarked itself on the compilation of (a) Humanities Encyclopaedia and (b) Encyclopaedia of Science The 15 volumes on Humanities contain the latest knowledge and concept on almost all disciplines that come under Humanities. The remaining two volumes are to be published soon. Articles on all the universities in India and articles on the development of the major languages that are in existence all over the world. Encyclopaedia of Science is an invaluable source of reference for scholars in Medicine, Engineering and Technology. Volumes under this section are being prepared. Efforts have been taken to include even the latest information from the ever-growing units of science and technology. Out of the proposed 20 volumes, 17 have been published and three more are to be printed soon. Compilation of the other volumes are in progress. An Encyclopaediac Dictionary of Technical Terms from English to Tamil in Science and Technology is being planned by the centre.
