Tamil University is provided with 1 GB Connectivity under NMEICT Scheme of Government of India. Installation of LAN connectivity is under scheme is also to be established shortly.
A well equipped Internet Centre is housed in the administrative block. The Internet Centre is provided with a high speed internet server with computer terminals, scanner, printer, and multimedia accessories.
All students and teachers have free access to the services of the Internet Centre during work hours. Students and research scholars download their study materials and reference works from the website. Each department is provided with Computers for the faculty members. Free laptop has been provided for the Heads of the Departments, and for LCD projectors and for the departments for the use of students.
